This practical session explores ten high-impact practices that strengthen Tier 1 reading instruction and supports all students to succeed. Drawing on evidence-informed approaches and classroom-ready routines, we unpack how to make teaching more explicit, engaging and effective.
Little Learners Love Literacy®
Attendees will also get an introduction to the Little Learners Love Literacy® program – an explicit and sequential literacy approach for teaching children to read, write and spell with confidence that schools around Australia love.
Every attendee will receive a Little Learners Sample Pack.

Presenter: Suzanne Deefholts
Suzanne is a dedicated educator with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She has held various roles within the school environment, including teacher, Literacy Leader, Learning and Teaching Leader, and Deputy Principal. Currently, she is a teacher coach and consultant for Little Learners Love Literacy®. Suzanne is passionate about empowering teachers to implement evidence-based approaches for teaching reading and writing effectively.
