Description
A diagnostic and formative spelling assessment designed to inform teaching and monitor student progress.
The Little Learners Assessment of Spelling Skills (LLASS) follows the Little Learners Love Literacy® teaching sequence to reveal to what extent children are able to apply their phonologic and morphologic knowledge to spell with accuracy, and to identify any gaps in students' knowledge of grapheme–phoneme correspondences.
You will receive a digital copy of the LLASS with a data spreadsheet for error analysis. The 'Class and Student Record' spreadsheets show you a whole class view of performance against each grapheme–phoneme or assessed knowledge using a red/amber/green colour system allowing you to quickly see mastery as well as trends across the class, small groups or individuals.
The Little Learners Assessment of Spelling Skills:
- Supports explicit teaching of spelling from the very beginning of school.
- Quick and simple to administer producing rich and informative data to support planning of class teaching and effective interventions.
Please note: Digital resources included in this pack will be emailed as soon as the order has been received.

It was very helpful as I am carrying out the LLLL assessments at my school and being new to my role as an SLA I wasn't able to find the hard copy of the spelling assessment. So having it as a digital copy solved my problem :)
